Omicron: 3rd case detected in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has detected its third case of the Covid-19 variant Omicron, confirmed the global genome sequence database GISAID yesterday.

According to the GISAID, the sample of the person who was infected with Omicron, was collected on December 23. The patient is a 56-year-old man living in Dhaka.

Earlier, two players of the Bangladesh Women's National Cricket team were infected with Omicron.
