Mirza Fakhrul, wife test positive for Covid-19

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara Begum have tested positive for coronavirus.

Syrul Kabir Khan, a senior member of the BNP chairperson's media wing, confirmed the development to The Daily Star this afternoon.

"The BNP secretary general and his wife have been infected with coronavirus. Their test results came positive last night," he said.

Syrul Kabir also said the couple, now at home, received prescriptions from doctors. They sought prayers from countrymen for fast recovery from the disease.
