Oxygen for people in remote areas

With an aim to help people in rural areas, a welfare organisation on Friday distributed 8 oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment in Moulvibazar.

Hazipur Society handed over the equipment to local volunteer groups in post office area of Kulaura's Hazipur union.

Previously, they distributed seven oxygen cylinders, nebulisers and oximeters, among other equipment, said organisers.

"We are planning to increase our efforts to help people in need," said Maj (retd) Nurul M Chowdhury, president of the organisation.
