After much speculation, the upcoming Eid release "Borbaad", starring superstar Shakib Khan, has received its clearance from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board.

Fans of actor Shakib Khan staged a human chain in front of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board today, demanding the uncut release of the upcoming Eid film “Borbaad”.

Emraan Hashmi took to social media yesterday to announce “Awarapan 2”, the sequel to his hit 2007 action film “Awarapan”. Set to hit theatres on April 3, 2026, the film is written by Bilal Siddiqi and directed by Nitin Kakkar (“Jawaani Jaaneman”).

After more than a decade, popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is set to return to Bangladesh Television (BTV) through its upcoming Eid special magazine programme “Anandamela”. The actress will be seen performing to a medley of three songs for the show.

OTT platform Deepto Play is set to release five new Turkish films dubbed in Bangla this Eid, offering audiences a mix of horror, drama, and thriller storytelling. The dubbed versions have been voiced by Deepto’s in-house dubbing team, with dialogues penned by their own writers. The films have been produced by Masud Miah.

As always, the special “Ityadi” Eid episode will be aired on Bangladesh Television on the night following Eid, right after the 8pm Bengali news. “Ityadi” is written, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket and produced by Fagun Audio Vision.

Actress Afia Nusrat Barsha had revealed her decision to step away from acting. However, for now, she is still working on the silver screen.  

The programme will be aired on Eid.
