5 former SUST students detained

The century-old haat of Dhaka city
The word “haat” is often associated with rural areas, where on a particular day of the week a makeshift marketplace is set up on a river bank or under the shade of a huge banyan tree. Usually, locals sell their homegrown vegetables and other organic poultry, among others. However, what’s amazing is that in the middle of a concrete jungle that is Dhaka City, there is still a haat that’s been running for the last 100 years or so.
