Tarique Rahman holds virtual meeting with US trade representative

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman held a virtual meeting this morning with US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer, discussing bilateral trade issues between Bangladesh and the United States.

The meeting took place from 9:00am to 9:30am, with Tarique joining from his Gulshan residence, confirmed BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, quoting Tarique’s press secretary.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on tariff rates and explored prospects for future economic cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia, Brendan Lynch; USTR Director for South Asia, Emily Ashby; and BNP Joint Secretary General and member of the party’s International Affairs Committee, Humayun Kabir.
