Dealing with the grief of losing a loved one
The bond between us was unusual; Abbu and I. It was rather whimsical, like magic.
For we were never vocal about how much we meant to each other. I never ran up to him as soon as I heard his footsteps coming home; neither did I ever lean against his chest for a warm embrace like most girls do. It was only the kindly, occasional pats on my head and that was all; enough to make me feel like the luckiest girl alive: a daddy’s girl.

Pregnancy and motherhood: Confessions of a ‘not-so-perfect’ mother
Dreams relating to motherhood began quite early in my life. It was mostly inspired by pregnancy photoshoots with celebrities like Brooke Shields, Kirsten Dunst, and Demi Moore. These ladies made pregnancy look like a piece of cake. With their long and thick hair resting on their shoulders, and finely manicured hands cradling their perfectly shaped bellies – everything looked handpicked, as if from a favourite fairy-tale.

Football superstitions, rituals, and curses
Football is an exciting sport. It is intense, physical, and loved all over the world. Modern football has seen many changes and modern technology is being used more and more to improve the game experience but even something as grand as football has its fair share of superstitions. Football has some interesting superstitions and even some ‘curses’ as well. Are the curses true? We don’t know for sure. Are the superstitions valid and does the ritual leave an impact on the result? Once again, we cannot say with absolute certainty. But then again, if we could, they would not be called superstitions. Either way, they might seem illogical to many but they sure make football more interesting than it already is.

All you need to know about peptic ulcer: Causes, symptoms, and treatment
The causes of what we commonly identify as 'gastric' starts off small — from snacking on our favourite dairy-based dessert, or taking a smoke break immediately after wolfing down fried foods, the triggers are aplenty. To think that a sudden case of gas and acid reflux will not set us back for a lifetime would be a wrong idea. It is only a matter of time that the minor heartburn becomes a major obstacle to living a healthy life. It is not entirely impossible to curb gastrointestinal maladies, but in order to do so it is essential to get to the root of the cause while also making some major changes to one's lifestyle.

Styling flared pants: Rules that work
Flared pants are all that your heart (and sometimes waistline!) hopes and wishes for! Known more widely as bell-bottom pants, pretty much all of our parents flaunted these for the greater part of the ‘70s. It has two varieties, the classic bell-bottoms were tapered at the top, around the hips, and spread out like a bell (hence the moniker) at the ankle. Flared pants are loose from the top, and flare out like a hand fan at the bottom. Both are equally stylish. Relaxed and very comfortable, these pants are your best friend, especially now that fashion has become forgiving and generous compared to the past.
