Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has been revealed in his striking new avatar for the upcoming film “Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka”, with the makers releasing the motion poster on Sunday (February 1) evening. The film is slated for a theatrical release during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The 16-second motion first look introduces Shakib Khan in a dark, gangster-style persona. Sporting a full beard, long hair, sunglasses and a flowing black coat, the actor is seen holding a uniquely designed musical gun while aiming it at a helicopter hovering in the sky—signalling an action-heavy narrative rooted in power and intimidation.

Sharing the motion poster on its official Facebook page, production house Creative Land Films wrote: “He doesn’t chase power; power follows him.” Meanwhile, Shakib Khan posted the same visual with the caption: “One city, one legend—Prince is coming, and the country will tremble.”

Directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud, “Prince” is set against a 1990s-inspired action backdrop and will blend high-octane sequences with a romantic storyline. According to the makers, the symbolic musical gun featured in the motion poster hints at this fusion of violence and emotion.

The film stars Tasnia Farin alongside Shakib Khan, with Indian actress Jyotirmoyee Kundu also playing a key role. Supporting performances include Nasir Uddin Khan, Ejajul Islam and Entekhab Dinar.

Filming for “Prince” has already wrapped up in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with post-production now underway ahead of its Eid release.
