‘King’ teaser to drop on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller “King” is set to unveil its teaser on the actor’s birthday, November 2, ahead of its theatrical release in December.

The teaser is being planned as a special birthday gift for Khan’s fans and will also mark the beginning of the film’s global marketing campaign. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the teaser will present Khan in a new avatar, with larger-than-life action and dialogue.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, “King” is expected to be a major action spectacle. Anand previously collaborated with Khan on “Pathaan”, which marked the actor’s return to the big screen after a brief hiatus and became a major box-office success.

A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said the film aims to go beyond the scale of Anand and Khan’s previous collaborations.

“If audiences loved the scale of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, Sid has taken things a notch higher with ‘King’,” the source said, adding that the film’s action, thrills and music are expected to be major attractions.

The film also marks Suhana Khan’s big-screen debut. She will appear alongside her father, with Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and Raghav Juyal also attached to key roles.

Kareena Kapoor is also reportedly set to make a special appearance in the film. According to the report, she will share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in a song titled “Daddy Cool”, which is scheduled to be filmed in South Africa in October.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, “King” is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
