‘Bonolota Express’ to release in 52 theatres across US, UK and Canada
The film “Bonolota Express”, directed by Tanim Noor, is expanding its international release. After Australia, the film will be released on April 3 in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom across 52 theatres.
The film is being distributed internationally by Swapna Scarecrow Bangladesh. In the first week, “Bonolota Express” will run in 10 theatres in Canada, 38 in the United States, and 4 in the UK.
Major global cinema chains will screen the film. These include AMC Theatres (US) with 21 screens, Regal Cinemas (US) with 14 screens, Cineplex (Canada) with 10 screens, Cinemark (US) with 2 screens, Showcase Cinemas (US) with 1 screen, and Cineworld (UK) with 4 screens. In the UK, the distribution partner is Reverie Films.
On the occasion of the international release, director Tanim Noor invited audiences to watch the film with their families. He said his previous film “Utshob” was well received both at home and abroad. He hopes “Bonolota Express” will also be enjoyed by international audiences.
Mohammad Oliullah Sajib, President of Swapno Scarecrow, said that to grow in the global market, it is important to release good films consistently. He added that after “Utshob”, Tanim Noor has continued that effort with “Bonolota Express”.
In its first week, “Bonolota Express” has secured 15 more theatres than “Utshob”. Four more theatres in Los Angeles, Connecticut, and Austin are expected to be added from April 10. The team hopes the film will not only surpass “Utshob” in number of theatres but also in business.
The film will be screened in major cities including Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, and Halifax in Canada. In the United States, it will be shown in cities such as New York City, Dallas, Houston, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Buffalo, Detroit, Nashville, Charlotte, Miami, Tampa, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Atlanta, and the San Francisco Bay Area. In the UK, it will be released in London and Birmingham.
The cast of “Bonolota Express” includes Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sariful Razz, Sabila Nur, Shamol Mawla, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Shamima Nazneen, Intekhab Dinar, and Arefin Zilani, among others.
The film is produced by Buriganga Talkies and co-produced by Hoichoi Studios.
