Taylor Swift is turning her latest album launch into a cinematic event. To celebrate the release of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, the pop superstar has announced a three-day theatre experience titled “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl”.

Modhuban Cineplex, one of Bogura’s modern theatres, has officially closed its doors. The announcement came Thursday (September 18) night, through a heartfelt Facebook post addressed to its loyal audiences, marking the end of an era for the region’s entertainment scene.

The film will be released in theatres on September 26, coinciding with the Durga festival.

Director Piplu R Khan’s pandemic-era drama “Jaya Aar Sharmin” will premiere on Chorki at 12:01 am on September 25. Starring Jaya Ahsan and Mohsina Akter, the film captures the quiet intensity of two women—an actress and her house help—confined within a single home during the Covid-19 lockdown. Their fragile bond grows in silence and eventually strains under the weight of isolation and shifting relationships.

Recently, Ankan has been making waves with “Long Distance Love,” composed by Shuvendu Das Shuvo, with lyrics co-written by Pragata Naoha and Ankan himself. The song resonated deeply with listeners who related to the pain of separation. “Some loved it, while others didn’t. But what I cherished most was that people began sharing their own love stories in my comment section,” he said.

She also mentioned that due to the sudden nature of the decision, her only sister-in-law was unable to attend the ceremony as she is currently abroad. She added, “However, in the future, we plan to organise a post-wedding reception with colleagues, relatives, and close friends. We hope for everyone’s prayers and good wishes for our new journey.”

Looking ahead to the international competition in November, Mithila added, “I want to represent Bangladesh with pride. With dignity, courage, and honour, I will do my best to uphold my country’s name. Please stand by me and keep me in your prayers.”
