Customs houses to remain open on limited scale during Eid holidays
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has directed all customs houses and stations to keep import-export activities operational on a limited scale during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
According to a NBR circular issued yesterday, the directive applies to public and weekly holidays from March 17 to March 23, excluding the day of Eid.
NBR requested officials to take steps to ensure the country’s trade remains uninterrupted during the festive period.
The decision followed a request from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association to facilitate trade and maintain the supply chain during the extended break.
