Fishermen blame high fuel costs for high price of Hilsa

The hilsa season is currently at its peak. Hilsa is being sold in Barishal markets for Tk 1,500-1,600 per kg. According to fishermen, the price of hilsa has increased because the cost has doubled as a result of the rise in diesel and others prices. Barishal district fisheries officer stated that hilsa production is not low.
