Ctg Floods: Locals blame Dohazari-Cox's Bazar rail line

Locals of South Chattogram claim that the recent floods have been exacerbated due to the narrow culverts constructed for the Dohazari-Cox's Bazar railway line.

Concerns are being raised over the adequacy of culverts along the 102km stretch of this railway line, which appear to be insufficient in diverting water from mountain runoff.

Consequently, the delayed recession of floodwaters has had a severe impact, affecting a considerable population of millions.
