NSU indoor badminton meet concludes

North South University (NSU) concluded its week-long Indoor Badminton Tournament on Sunday with champions crowned across multiple categories at the grand finale held at the NSU Indoor Ground.

In the Students’ (Male) category, Team CSC Pro -- Md Azowad Islam and Tanvir Hasan Prince -- emerged champions, defeating Team BBT Smashers. Team BBA Bubble Trouble won the Students’ (Female) title through Akeek Sana Tariq and Raisa Mujib, while Team Pharma-Elixir-2 finished runners-up.

Among faculty and officers, Team Smash Master claimed the men’s title with Md Akteruzzaman and Md Takbir Alam, as Team AKHN settled for second place. In the women’s segment, Team Shuttle Hustle, represented by Prof Nazlee Siddiqui and Humaira Haque, took the championship, ahead of Team Falcon Queen.

Team NSU SC won the Club Executives category, while Team NSU MBAC finished runners-up. In the University Leadership category, Team Board Chairman’s Office secured the title, with Team Vice-Chancellor’s Office ending as runners-up.

Organised by the NSU Games and Sports Club, the tournament ran from February 1 to 8 with participation from students, faculty members, officers and administrators.

The finale was attended by NSU Board of Trustees chairman Aziz Al Kaiser, vice-chancellor Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, former chairmen and board members, who later praised the initiative for encouraging sportsmanship and community bonding.
