Salahuddin re-elected SAFF president for fifth straight term
Kazi Salahuddin has been re-elected unopposed as president of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) for a fifth consecutive term at the SAFF Congress in Thimphu, Bhutan, on Saturday.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Women's Wing chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiran, also Executive Committee Member of Asian Football Confederation (AFC), confirmed Salahuddin's re-election to The Daily Star.
The former BFF president has led SAFF since 2009.
At the congress, SAFF gave Nepal, who were excluded from Saturday's SAFF Championship draw because of their FIFA suspension, until September to have the suspension lifted.
