Samsung has been betting a lot on its foldables. In the past few years, it has made iterative improvements to its foldable Z series of smartphones. Samsung is betting so much on it that it has streamlined its product line-up and discontinued the popular note series. Inspired by the ‘bigger is always better' mantra, Samsung’s relentless attempt to make screens bigger has somewhat paid off. At least that’s what we felt from using the latest flagship Galaxy Z Fold4. Samsung and Intel developing world's first 'sliding PC'

Intel and Samsung Display are developing "slidable" PCs. Samsung Display CEO JS Choi made an appearance on stage during today's Intel Innovation keynote to demonstrate a prototype PC that transforms from a 13-inch tablet into a 17-inch display. Prior to Microsoft abandoning its plans for Windows 10X on foldables, Intel had been experimenting with new PC form factors for years and was initially getting ready for a dual-screen and foldable future. It's still unclear how Intel will make slidable PCs a reality, but these new form factors urgently need the software and apps to shine. With a flexible display and a sliding mechanism, the prototype device that Samsung Display and Intel unveiled today essentially transforms a 13-inch tablet into a 17-inch monitor. On this display, Intel was quick to show off its new Unison software, which aims to link computers powered by Intel to smartphones, including iPhones. There is currently no information from Intel or Samsung Display about when the slidable PC will become a reality.

Serious security flaws found in WhatsApp

Two serious security flaws have been discovered in WhatsApp, according to a report in The Sun. The report claims that by exploiting the security flaws, cybercriminals can remotely take over WhatsApp users' accounts at will. WhatsApp has reportedly quickly fixed the errors but due to the bugs remaining in the old version, users can get exposed still. By exploiting the flaws in the Android and iOS versions of WhatsApp, hackers can send malicious video files anonymously during video calls. Hackers can then gain control of the user's phone and their data when they open the files. The critical flaws were first identified by members of WhatsApp's internal security team, reports The Sun. In addition to publishing warnings on their website, WhatsApp has requested to use the updated version as soon as possible.
