A Bangladeshi esports team named CMF eSports secured qualification for the Honor of Kings Major League Spring 2026, becoming the South Asian representatives in the professional league.

The team earned its place after winning back-to-back championships in the Honor of Kings Open Series, Split 4 and Split 5, a pathway tournament designed to identify qualified amateur and semi-professional teams for promotion into the official league ecosystem.

Competing in the multiplayer battle arena video game Honor of Kings, CMF eSports delivered notable performances throughout the competition. The current roster features S M Shubho Ahmed, Arafat Hossain, Sheikh Matiur Rahman, Asif Ahmed Shiam, and Joel Gerald L. Capotulan under the guidance of Filipino coach Ken Adrian G. Ofalsa.

The Honor of Kings Major League Spring season, set to begin on March 12, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marks the next stage of CMF eSports’ journey on the regional stage. The Honor of Kings Major League has become the primary pathway for amateur and semi-professional teams aiming to reach the professional ecosystem. Following structural changes to the tournament format in 2025, only one team from every region can earn promotion to the Major League, significantly raising the level of competition.

Regarding the achievement, team member Arafat shared, “The consecutive titles were the result of months of preparation and trust within the squad. We knew the competition would be tougher in the second split, but we stayed focused on improving every day. Winning back-to-back championships shows how much effort this team has put into understanding the game and supporting each other."

Another player, Shubho, said qualifying for the Major League is a proud moment for the team and the local esports community. “This qualification means a lot to us. It shows that Bangladeshi players can compete at a very high level. Our goal now is to prepare well for the Major League and represent our country in the best possible way,” he said.
