DU Fine Arts students gear up for vibrant Pahela Baishakh

As the Bengali New Year, Pahela Baishakh, approaches, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Dhaka has transformed into a hive of creative activity.

Students are working around the clock, putting the finishing touches on an array of traditional crafts to welcome the Bangla New Year 1433.

This year’s festivities are underscored by a poignant theme: “Noboborsher Oikyotan, Gonotontrer Punorutthan.” Through their art, students are expressing a collective aspiration for a nation free from the shadows of the past, envisioning a future defined by democratic values and cultural preservation.
