Measles deaths rise to 30 as DGHS reports two more fatalities
Number of suspected deaths now 156 as DGHS records five more suspected deaths in 24 hours

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recorded two more confirmed measles deaths in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today.
With this, the total confirmed measles deaths stand at 30.

Besides, the DGHS recorded five more suspected deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of suspected deaths to 156.
Of the five, four were reported in Dhaka division while one in Rajshahi division.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 82 confirmed measles cases were recorded.
Currently, the total confirmed cases in the country are 2,721. Meanwhile, some 1,371 suspected cases were recorded during the same period, taking the total number of suspected cases to 17,024.
