‘Dhurandhar 2’ becomes a global hit, breaks box office records
Aditya Dhar’s “Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge” has become a huge success at the box office. The film earned more money in its opening weekend than any other Bollywood film in history.
The Ranveer Singh-starrer film also did well internationally. It earned $2.5 million on its premiere, the biggest ever for an Indian film. Every day since, the film has earned over $4 million in overseas markets. Despite not releasing in Gulf countries, “Dhurandhar 2” earned $22 million overseas in its opening weekend. In the United States, the film made $9.6 million, ranking it third in North America for the weekend.
In India, the film has been even more successful. It earned ₹454 crore net (₹542 crore gross) in the first four days. The worldwide opening-weekend collection is around $80 million. This made “Dhurandhar 2” the second highest-grossing film worldwide that weekend, after Ryan Gosling’s “Project Hail Mary”. The film beat other international releases like “Hoppers”, “Ready Or Not 2”, and “Scream 7”.
“Dhurandhar 2” is a sequel to the 2025 hit "Dhurandhar". It stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy and features R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. The film is now heading towards $100 million worldwide, which could place it in the top 10 highest-grossing films of the year.
