‘Anandamela’ returns to BTV with Eid entertainment

Bangladesh Television is set to air its traditional Eid magazine programme “Anandamela”, featuring a lively mix of dance, music and comedy for viewers during the festival.

Actor and presenter Masuma Rahman Nabila will return as host for the show, joined this year by Irfan Sajjad. The programme will be broadcast on BTV at 10:00pm on Eid day.

One of the highlights of the show will be dance performances by popular actors including Puja Chery Roy, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Richie Solaiman, Chandni and Anika Kabir Shokh. Their performances will feature songs from popular Bangladeshi films from the 1980s to the present, as well as folk music, presented with new choreography.

The programme will also include musical performances by Kanak Chapa, Monir Khan, Robi Chowdhury, Nancy, Nasir and the band Chirkutt, who will perform some of their popular songs.

In addition, artists from the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will present an acrobatic show as part of the entertainment lineup.

Comedian Abu Hena Rony will add humour to the programme, which will also feature instrumental music, including the well-known song “Romjaner Oi Rozar Sheshe”, along with special jingles and a short drama segment.

BTV to air special band music show for Eid celebrations

The show is produced by Afroza Sultana, Hasan Riad and Yasmin Akter. The producers expressed hope that the programme’s blend of music, dance and comedy will make Eid celebrations even more enjoyable for viewers.
