Salman Khan launches YouTube channel with acting lessons for fans
Bollywood actor Salman Khan has launched his own YouTube channel, “Being Salman Khan”, offering fans lessons on his signature acting style, body language and dialogue delivery.
The actor announced the launch on Friday (October 9) and shared the channel’s link on his Instagram Story. He invited fans to explore the new platform, writing, “Shuru se shuru karte hain. Mera official YouTube channel. A se Z tak sab yahan milega” (Let’s start from the beginning. My official YouTube channel. You’ll find everything here, from A to Z).
One of the first videos features two versions of Salman. One plays an acting and personality coach, while the other appears as a student. The coach demonstrates the mannerisms and dialogue delivery associated with the actor’s on-screen persona.
The channel has already attracted 77,600 subscribers, giving fans a new way to connect with the star beyond his film appearances.
Salman is among several Bollywood celebrities using YouTube to reach audiences beyond films and television. Actors such as Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kartik Aaryan also have their own channels.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has gained popularity on the platform through celebrity cooking vlogs. Launched in 2024, her channel has crossed 3.2 million subscribers. Her videos feature visits to celebrities’ homes, cooking sessions and candid conversations about their personal and professional lives.
However, Salman is currently hosting the 20th season of the reality show “Bigg Boss”. On the film front, he will next appear in “Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace”, co-starring Chitrangada Singh. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film was initially scheduled for release in March this year but has since been postponed twice. A new release date has yet to be announced.
