Channel 9 rolls out seven-day Eid special lineup

Channel 9 has announced a seven-day special Eid-ul-Azha programme featuring a line-up of blockbuster films, television premieres and entertainment shows under its “Blockbuster Movie Night” initiative.

The highlight of the schedule is the television premiere of “Domm”, directed by Raihan Rafi, airing on Eid night at 9:00pm. The film stars Afran Nisho and Puja Chery in lead roles.



On the second day of Eid, “Borbaad” starring Shakib Khan will be aired exclusively on the channel. The film slate continues over the following days with “Daagi”, directed by Shihab Shaheen, followed by Shakib Khan-starrer “Toofan” and “Taandob”. The final day of the film lineup will feature 

“Peyarar Subash”, directed by Nurul Alam Atique and starring Jaya Ahsan.
Alongside the prime-time film broadcasts, Channel 9 will air a “Golden Hit Movie Hour” at 10:00am daily, featuring classic Bangla films including “Sujon Sokhi”, “Moner Majhe Tumi”, “Sotter Mrittu Nei”, “Shopner Thikana”, “Baba Keno Chakor” and “Ammajan”.



At 2:00pm, the “Super Hit Movie Fest” segment will showcase popular contemporary films such as “Poramon 2”, “Aashiqui”, “Insaaf”, “Din The Day”, “Jongli”, “Deyaler Desh” and “Ami Shudhu Cheyechi Tomay”.

A seven-episode special drama serial titled “Khel Khotom”, directed by Sagar Jahan, will also air daily at 8:00pm. The cast includes Saidur Rahman Pavel, Musafir Syed Bachchu, Samanta Parvez, Arfan Ahmed and others.

Evening programming will also include a cooking show titled “Utsober Ranna”, directed by Mahmud Hasan and hosted by Shanta Jahan, featuring chefs presenting festive recipes. Special talk shows “Cine Talk with Celebrities” and “Pusti Tarokar Eid” will also be part of the Eid schedule.
