Asha Bhosle to be laid to rest today with state honours

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who passed away on Sunday at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, will be cremated today at 4:00pm with full state honours.

The body of legendary singer Asha Bhosle was taken to her residence in Lower Parel, Lower Parel, on Sunday evening. Fans and well-wishers will be allowed to pay their final respects at her home at 11 am today, with her body remaining there until 3 pm.

She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday night (April 11), where she received treatment for a chest infection and severe exhaustion, according to a statement shared by her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle on the social media platform X.

The legendary singer Asha Bhosle, known for her iconic voice in songs such as “Aaiye Meherbaan”, “Kajra Mohabbat Wala”, “Jaiye Aap Kahan Jayenge”, “Le Gayi Le Gayi”, and “Kahin Aag Lage”, reportedly passed away due to multiple organ failure.
