Train services resume

Rail communications on Jamalpur-Bangabandhu Bridge (east) route resumed yesterday after seven days of its suspension. On July 30, the authorities suspended the train services as several points of the rail route got damaged by floodwater, said Jahurul Islam, stationmaster of Jamalpur railway station. Some portions of the rail tracks in Kendua Kalibari, Jaforshahi, Sarishabari and Tarakandi areas in the district got damaged by floodwater. The damaged portions of the tracks were repaired temporarily, said the stationmaster.
