Tk 75 lakh sandalwood seized

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 150 kilograms of sandalwood worth about Tk 75 lakh at Andulia Bazar in Chaugachha upazila of Jessore yesterday. Acting on a tip-off, the border guards raided the bazar and seized the sandalwood in abandoned condition. However, none was arrested in this connection, said Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer of BGB-26 Battalion.
