Myanmar has to solve crisis itself: Foreign secy
Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque today said that the Rohingya crisis will have to be solved by Myanmar as it is the country's internal issue.
"Rohingya crisis has emerged in Myanmar and it will have to be resolved by the country," Haque said while addressing a press conference at the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka this afternoon.
He also alleged that the Rohingya people are being displaced from their homes in Myanmar forcibly. They are now trying to take shelter in the neighbouring countries, he added.
Different international organisations are putting pressure on Bangladesh to take care of the issue, the foreign secretary said.
"As a responsible country, we are dealing with the matter to its peaceful end," he added.
