Lightning kills 3

Three people were killed by lightning at Naldubi village in Goalanda upazila of Rajbari on Tuesday. The deceased were Abu Bakkar Sheikh, 45, son of Jamal Sheikh, and Lal Mia, 35, son of Waiez Uddin Mondal of the village, and Abul Shikdar, 35, son of Helal Shikdar of Kakna village in the upazila. Locals and witnesses said a thunderbolt struck four farmers while they were working at a farmland at the village amid rain around 6:30pm, leaving Bakkar, Lal and Abul dead on the spot. Injured Haidar Ali is now undergoing treatment at a hospital.
