Hike in allowance of injured freedom fighters

Bangladesh government today approved a proposal to increase allowances of the injured and gallantry-awarded freedom fighters by more than double.
The allowances have been made more than double and to be effective from January next year, Cabinet Secretary M Shafiul Alam said after today's cabinet meeting.

There are four categories of injured war heros. For category A the allowance will be Tk 45,000 from Tk 30,000, for category B Tk 35,000 from Tk 20,000, for category C Tk 30,000 from Tk 16,000 and for C category Tk 25,000 from Tk 9700.
