Fishing resumes in Kaptai Lake

The authorities allowed the fishermen to resume fishing in the Kaptai Lake from yesterday, ending a ban imposed earlier on May 12.

Every year, the authorities enforce the seasonal ban for helping smooth breeding to boost fish production in the lake.

During the period, fish fry are also released in the lake, said sources of Bangladesh Fisheries and Development Corporation.
