Elephant kills woman

A woman was killed by an elephant in Purbo Chaillatoli area under Longodu upazila on Monday night. The victim was Anupa Begum, 45, of the area. Locals said an elephant came to a nearby place of Anupa's house in search of food. At one stage, the elephant attacked the woman when she came out of her house. She died on the spot.
