Don’t post anything hurting religious sentiment: Police
Bangladesh police today called upon the countrymen not to post any comments and photos in social media including Facebook that hurt people's religious sentiment.
Stern action will be taken under the existing law against those who will post "religiously-provocative" and "satire" photos and comments, reads a statement from the Police Headquarters in Dhaka issued this afternoon.
The statement said, "A vested quarter is ill-motivated to destroy communal harmony by hurting religious sentiment of ordinary people through posting religiously-provocative and satire-indecent photos and comments in social media like Facebook."
Terming such attempt as an 'offence', police however urged all not to pay heed to any rumour to maintain communal harmony.
