Dhk-Ctg-Sylhet rail link snapped

Rail communication of Dhaka with Sylhet and Chittagong remains suspended since this afternoon after the engine of an inter-city train broke down at the outer point of Ashuganj railway station this noon.

The engine of Chittagong-bound Karnafuli Express went out of order around 1:15pm halting the rail communication of Dhaka with Chittagong, Sylhet and Noakhali, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent quoting Shoyeb Ahmed, station master of Brahmanbaria rail station.

A local rescue team of railways has already reached the spot, but the official could not exactly tell when the rail communication will be reestablished.
