Death threat to puja committee members

Criminals sent a letter to local Puja Udjapon Committee members, giving them death threat if Durga Puja is celebrated at Burir Kura Durga Mandir at Mokra Dhadhogachh village in Lalmonirhat Sadar.

Unidentified people kept the letter along with burial cloths in the temple at night and temple management committee members got those when they went to the temple for cleaning yesterday morning.

"The letter mentioned that I and other members of the temple committee will be killed if we celebrate Durga Puja here this year," said Paresh Chandra Roy, president of Puja Udjapon Committee of the temple.
