The newborn, who was declared dead but later found alive in Chittagong, finally breathed her last today.
A four-member medical team formed to observe her condition declared the newborn dead around 1:30pm, Dr Azizur Rahman, Chittagong's civil surgeon, told The Daily Star.

The premature baby was born to Nurul Azam, a doctor, and Ridwana Kawser, a dentist at Centre for Specialised Care and Research (CSCR), in the wee hours of yesterday.
Doctors had declared the baby dead and issued a death certificate before the parents found out that the newborn was indeed alive.
The baby was taken to Max Hospital in the port city and kept in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The incident happened barely two weeks after another newborn girl, who was declared dead at a Faridpur hospital, cried out moments before her burial at a graveyard there.
