Authorities report 12 missing persons

The district authorities today put the number of missing persons at 12, one higher from yesterday's figure.

According to Executive Magistrate Fatema Tuz-Zohara from the district administration's control room, the authorities have released a list of 12 names with their designations, after family members registered the names as missing.

The missing are: assistant operator Kazim Uddin, 36; cleaner Rajesh Babu, 22; helper Riyad Hossain Murad, 29; printing operator Ismail Hossain, 45; floor helper Rafiqul Islam, 40; senior operator Nasir Patoari, 31; machine operator Chunnu Molla, 21, and Redwan Ahmed, 30; Joynul Islam, 30; Jahirul Islam, 37; Anisur Rahman, 30; and Masum Ahmed, 30.

A total of 33 bodies have been recovered from Tampaco Foils Ltd factory in Tongi since a fire broke out there following explosions on Saturday.
