During a visit, reporters found 70-year-old Jamuna Rani, mother of Shankar and Pori, at the home of the missing families. They left all their belongings, Jamuna Rani said, but she could not say when her sons with their families left home.
She said they could not have gone to India as they did not have any relatives there.
Criminals might have abducted her sons and their family members, she said.
On the day before (July 26), Sajal Chandra Barman, 14, son of Dhiren Chandra Barman of the village, also went missing and has remained untraced. His father filed a General Diary (GD) with Rangpur Sadar Police Station the same day.
Sajal's parents said their son was abducted.
