12 brass idols seized

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 12 brass idols of Radha-Krishna from Hakimpur upazila in the district yesterday. Acting on a tip-off, the BGB men raided Dharanda village and seized the idols worth about Tk 1.48 lakh. However, the smugglers managed to flee the scene, sensing the presence of the border guards, said Lt Col Khabir Sarker of BGB-3 Battalion.
