Prof. Dr Giuseppe Sapienza joins IUB as Teaching & Learning Educationist

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has appointed Prof. Dr Giuseppe Sapienza, an Italian education leader with over 20 years of international experience, as Teaching & Learning Educationist. He will work with IUB to strengthen teaching skills, capacities, and practices. He will also help enhance the overall learning environment for students, consistent with global best-practices in education.

Prof. Sapienza has held senior academic and administrative positions at universities across Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, including Vice Rector, Provost, Research Director, and Director of Quality Assurance. His experience spans faculty development, curriculum design, academic quality assurance, research management, and integrated educational strategy.

He has worked with international organisations including UNESCO, UNDP, WHO, and KOICA, and has helped establish more than 100 international partnerships.

Prof. Sapienza holds a PhD in Education and a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Catania, Italy. He also has Leadership of Learning training from Harvard University and a Certificate in Quality of Education Systems from the University of Padua, Italy.
