At the event, Titumir welcomed “UCB One” and said, “The government is considering various initiatives to address structural challenges within the banking sector. Among these, a key focus is the full digitalisation of the financial system and ensuring that every citizen has a bank account.”
“This will help eliminate irregularities and improve transparency while establishing an inclusive financial system. I seek the cooperation of all banks in this regard,” he added.
The platform enables users to simplify their daily lives through shopping, bookings, utility bill payments and access to various offers.
In his remarks, Sharif Zahir, chairman of UCB, said, “UCB has shown consistent improvement over the last two years as a result of ensuring good governance, transparency and discipline. We are working to strengthen inclusive and cashless banking, as digital systems represent the future of the banking sector. The launch of this app marks the beginning of our journey toward that goal.”
Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, managing director and CEO of UCB, said, “This is not just a new app. By integrating all services, we aim to provide better service to our customers. It will be highly suitable for young and tech-savvy users and will play a vital role in strengthening the country’s cashless transaction system.”
