NRBC Bank holds business review meeting in Sylhet

NRBC Bank PLC recently organised a “Business Review and Recovery Strategy Meeting” at a hotel in Sylhet to enhance customer service, expand business while ensuring quality, achieve sustainable growth, and further strengthen loan recovery initiatives.

The meeting reviewed the overall business performance of the Sylhet Zone, including deposit mobilisation, loan disbursement and recovery, management of non-performing loans (NPLs), asset quality, customer service, and opportunities for business expansion.

Md Touhidul Alam Khan, managing director and chief executive officer of the bank, inaugurated the meeting as the chief guest, according to a press release.

Speaking at the event, Touhidul emphasised that business growth must go hand in hand with maintaining high standards of customer service and asset quality.

He stressed the importance of proper due diligence before loan disbursement, regular monitoring of customers, and timely loan recovery.

He also called for proactive measures at the branch and sub-branch levels to prevent loans from becoming irregular or classified.

Participants also identified ongoing challenges and discussed various strategies to strengthen business growth and accelerate loan recovery.

Among others, Md Tariqul Islam Khan, head of special asset management at the bank, and Md Ariful Rahman, head of the Sylhet Zone, were also present.
