Bank Asia, BB join hands for entrepreneurship training

Bank Asia PLC has organised a month-long “Entrepreneurship Development Programme” as part of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Development (SICIP) project, under the overall supervision of the SME & Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.

Financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, the programme aims to enhance participants’ business knowledge and management capabilities, enabling them to operate and expand their businesses successfully.

It also aims to create new employment opportunities and contribute to the country’s overall economic development.

Md Masum Billah, additional director of Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the programme recently at the Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development in Lalmatia, Dhaka, according to a press release.

Mohammad Wasim, joint director of Bangladesh Bank, and Mohammad Saifuddowla, head of micro, small and medium enterprise at Bank Asia PLC, attended the programme as special guests.

Akhteruddin Mahmood, deputy managing director and chief human resources officer of Bank Asia, presided over the programme.

The month-long programme will provide entrepreneurs with essential training on various aspects of business operations, management, financial planning, market management and business expansion.
