Ahteshamul Haque appointed as MD of Dutch-Bangla Bank

Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan has been appointed as the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), respectively, of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC.

Prior to taking up his new role, Khan had been serving the bank as deputy managing director and chief business officer (CBO) concurrently for around six years, according to a press release. He also served as the bank’s chief operating officer (COO).

Khan joined Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC in 2003, where he worked in different capacities and played a pivotal role in the bank’s transformational initiatives, innovation, business expansion, and operational excellence.

With over 30 years of banking experience, he began his career at BASIC Bank PLC as an assistant manager (on probation) in 1995.

Khan obtained his honours and master’s degrees in economics from Jahangirnagar University.
