Seylon Tea honours teachers with ‘Jibon Jure Shikkoker Resh’ campaign
Seylon Tea Bangladesh has launched “Jibon Jure Shikkoker Resh”, a campaign honouring teachers whose words, encouragement and lessons stay with students long after they leave the classroom, marking International Teachers’ Day today.
Instead of focusing on product communication, the tea company has centred the campaign on the memories and relationships people carry with their teachers.
Inspired by real-life experiences, the campaign tells six metaphorical stories -- “Paper Plane”, “Hatekhori”, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”, “Julius Caesar”, “Harmonium for Sale” and “Nostalgia” -- each portraying a different way a teacher can influence a student’s life.
“Paper Plane” tells the story of overcoming fear, while “Hatekhori” looks back at where a journey towards success may have begun. “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” explores how a teacher can recognise a student’s talent beyond academics and encourage it to grow. “Julius Caesar” reflects on the confidence a teacher can help build.
“Harmonium for Sale” recalls memories of music, learning and a teacher from the past, while “Nostalgia” revisits school and college days that can feel distant amid the demands of adult life.
A series of teasers introduced the themes and built curiosity ahead of the full stories. As the films were released, viewers began sharing their own memories in comments and on social media, with many recalling a teacher, classroom or moment from their student years.
The campaign also invited people to share stories about teachers who had left a lasting impression on their lives. Ten selected participants and their teachers will receive special gifts from the brand.
People were also encouraged to reconnect with former teachers, even if only through a phone call after many years.
“Jibon Jure Shikkoker Resh” is Seylon Tea’s tribute to teachers whose lessons often continue far beyond the classroom.
