Pacific Denims shuts production again as gas supply cut off

Pacific Denims Ltd has once again suspended production after its gas supply was disconnected earlier today.

The denim manufacturer had previously halted operations in mid-2024 due to a shortage of gas. The production was resumed later.

In a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website today, the company said it is working to restore the gas connection "within the shortest possible time."

It added that a letter has already been submitted to the Titas Gas office seeking reconnection.

On the day of the announcement, shares of Pacific Denims rose 2 percent to Tk 5 on the DSE.
