Zahangir expelled from AL permanently

Former mayor of Gazipur City Corporation Zahangir Alam has been expelled permanently from the Awami League, said a press release of the party.

The press release signed by office secretary of the party Biplab Barua today said the party's central executive committee expelled Zahangir for life as per party charter.

The expulsion order will come into effect immediately, the release added.
