Explosion in Old Dhaka: 3 burnt, 7 injured
Three members of a family were burnt in an explosion in Old Dhaka. The explosion, believed to be caused by gas line leakage, also injured seven more. The injured are being treated in a hospital. Some parts of the building collapsed following the explosion.

Teenager who went to avenge his father
The youngest gallantry award recipient of Bangladesh is Bir Protik Abu Salek. Abu Salek of Hasimpur village in Dharkhar union of Akhaura Upazila of Brahmanbaria was a sixth grader in 1971. Pakistani forces brutally killed 33 people including his father and his uncle. With the intense desire for revenge, Abu Salek left his textbooks and went to Agartala, India to take part in the Liberation War.

Ahmed Ali, a young freedom fighter of 20 years, came forward in 1971 to help the freedom fighters. Numerous freedom fighters have been sheltered in his house, and he also gave information about the Pakistan Army and Razakar Al-Badr to freedom fighters. After training in India in August 1971, he joined the front line.

Child’s body discovered from sewerage drain after 68 hours
A body of a child, Kamal Uddin, was discovered in Chittagong, 68 hours after he fell in a sewage drain. The first two days were spent searching the Chasma canal and drains connected to it but there were no signs of the child. His body was discovered from Mirza canal of Muradpur, Chittagong.
