Thousands of alumni gathered in university campus to celebrate and relive their campus lives on the 100 years anniversary of Dhaka University. The centenary programme, organized by the Dhaka University Alumni Association, took place on 12 March.

Hilsha fishing, selling, and transporting have been banned for two months in six Hilsha sanctuaries. At least six lakh families from six districts are dependent on Hilsha fishing.
