Irregularities in Lalmonirhat's Dharla River Bank Protection Programme
There have been allegations of irregularities in preserving the Dharla River's 100-metre bank in Lalmonirhat.
The Water Development Board's appointed contractors are putting CC blocks without clearing the sand mounds that have formed along the river's banks.
Experts are concerned that the unplanned CC blocks would be wiped away during the rainy season, leaving the residents there back in danger.
